Mood rings react to the temperature. They were invented by two New Yorkers Joshua Reynolds and Maris Ambat they created mood rings in 1975. Mood rings featured fake gemstones that are usually made by glass or quartz. the glass or quartz stone were normally hollow shells filled with liquid crystals. There is a little bit of truth that they do react to you mood. The air temperature may have a bigger effect on the mood rings then the body temperature.
